Two Letters
March 12, 2000
To Fanny
I wanted to express my thanks to you on my own behalf and that of my
dear grandchildren.
You added a lot of pleasantness to our lives, you enriched us with
knowledge. And most of all, we got little tips from you that will
accompany us throughout our lives.
Since we began to come to the workshop, I have felt an immediate
improvement in the behaviour of my grandchildren. It has made my
day-to-day care of them so much easier.
For this, again, I thank you very much.

Re: Workshop for Social Skills
At the Yachdav School in the Neve Zeev neighbourhood of Beer-Sheva, a
group of young children enjoy a workshop for social skills which
includes: Self Control; Listening; Problem-solving; Self image and
Dealing with physical and verbal violence.
During this period, in which violence is such a commonly talked about
subject, the need to prepare and teach our children from birth the
prevention of violence in the future is absolutely necessary.
The children attending the workshop internalized this subject and
were enriched in terminology, tools and practical applications. The
workshop was taught by the kindergarten teacher Fanny and the art
teacher Ilana, to the full satisfaction of parents and children
alike, in the most interesting manner possible. The workshop
interests the children so much that they arrive both on time and full
of enthusiasm! The first grade teachers who get these children, who
have undergone this enrichment through the workshop, can really
notice the difference between these and the other children.
On my behalf and on the behalf of other parents (whose children
attended the workshops), I ask you to recognize that workshops such
as these are an absolute necessity in kindergartens and schools, and
more than this, they should be part of the standard educational
system. It is very important to continue these workshops and no less
important to advertise the workshops, in order to interest even more
parents to participate with their children in these workshops.
Sincerely yours,
Irit Hait
